My Journey So Far

In my first year of college, I took Early Childhood Education 101 on a whim, and fell in love with the magic of childhood. I immediately switched majors, signed up for more child development classes, and got a job working at a local child care center. I knew I had found my calling.

I worked at a few different centers while I studied child development. I worked with infants, 2-year-olds, and preschoolers at different times. It was a dream come true! In 2019 I graduated from Arizona State University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Human Development.
Unfortunately, in 2020, the center had to close when the COVID-19 pandemic hit hard. I decided to turn my knowledge and passion towards private nannying. During the next few years, I nannied for infants in many different families across all of southern California, and absolutely loved it. Getting to work closely with families was so different from what I had done before, but the genuine connection and impact I had on each family was so fulfilling.

When I learned what a Doula was and how vital their services are, I just knew this was the clear next step on my journey. I am currently trained as a Postpartum and Birth Doula, as well as a Newborn Care Specialist.

So many friends and family members have been saying to me how they wished they had had a doula to support them when they gave birth. This only further reinforces my desire to be in this field, and to help all new parents, families, and babies get nurtured and take their naps.
