BABYWEARING Coaching

Babywearing is an ancient practice seen around the world with so many modern options! I love babywearing and am so excited to support your journey through this process.

In addition to the practical convenience of being able to move around hands-free, babywearing nurtures a strong emotional bond between parent and child, promoting secure attachment and bonding. Modern studies confirm what generations have instinctively known — that the physical closeness, warmth, and rhythmic motion of babywearing have a positive impact on an infant's physical and emotional development.

NURSERY CONSULTING

Get set to welcome your baby home to the most nurturing space possible

Feeling a little overwhelmed with everything? Whether your family is growing for the first time (or 2nd or 3rd), preparing for the newest little one can be a lot. Whether you’re looking for someone to offload the project too, or just need help getting things put away in an organized way, I can help!

Whether it’s help handling the gifts, washing all those adorable baby clothes, organizing and putting things away, assembling products, setting up baby monitors and tech, I’ve done it and am happy to help!

Important reminders

Birth-work is a fluid and flexible lifestyle which means that the first week of services will likely look different than the planned schedule due to the spontaneous nature of birth and the unpredictable day you will come home from the birth facility. Additionally, as long as minimum hours are being met, the exact days and times can be flexible to fit the weekly individual needs of your family.

A Doula does not:

  • Diagnose medical conditions

  • Perform clinical tasks (temperature checks, blood pressure checks, wound check, etc.)

  • Drive clients anywhere

  • Walk dogs or care for pets

  • Take over care of an older child; an adult must be home when children other than the infant(s) are home

  • Heavy house cleaning tasks

Doulas:

  • Lead by following—following the style, preferences, and pace of our clients

  • respect individual culture and practices

  • embrace curiosity, learning, and growth

  • are generalists-we know a great deal about many things

  • educate parents on available options

  • help build parental self confidence

  • nurture the entire family
